Speaker Enclosures
Introducing Thomas Carlos, a new volunteer to the Devonport Community Workshop. Thomas volunteers each alternate Saturday and has a background in design in New Zealand and Japan.
He works with both traditional hand tools and modern machinery, with an interest in Joinery, including Japanese techniques and Thomas recently completed a project at the Workshop, creating these speaker enclosures from recycled Rimu. Impressive craftsmanship.
Thomas builds furniture, cabinetry, and custom pieces in solid timber, and also designs and builds valve amplifiers for guitar and hi-fi. His interests extend to general making and modifying, from furniture to cars, and he values sharing skills and learning alongside others.
